LESSON 01 / 12

Check radians in two places

MCQ calculator part; calculator-required numerical trig. FRQ3/4 remain no-calculator.

Follow a complete calculation

You need to evaluate sin⁡(π2)\sin\left(\frac{\pi}{2}\right) and graph sin⁡(x)\sin\left(x\right) in radians.

AP Precalculus uses radians unless a task explicitly specifies another unit.

What to write in the response

With angles in radians, sin⁡(π/2)=1\sin(\pi/2)=1. Both the numerical evaluation and the graph agree.

In a standard full-length exam, calculator access belongs only to MCQ Part B and FRQ Part A (Questions 1–2). The two FRQs share 35 minutes. Learning this workflow does not open a calculator in FRQ Questions 3–4.
